After a wet warm Saturday spent inside doing taxes, it was nice to see the sun as I drove to meet Sheldon and Evan at the Big Cottonwood parking lot at 7:30. Not long after arriving Mb called and said Dwight was on his way and shortly thereafter Katy and Eric drove up. Half a quorum and we were ready to go to church on Easter morning

Arriving at Alta there was actually snow on the road and after a moment regrouping and finding each other we all set off up Grizzly Gulch with Katy leading the way. Her grumpiness faded quickly in the beautiful morning light. We reached the east bowl saddle pretty quickly and the snow looked good. It was a quick climb to the entrance of the cabin run from there.

Dwight skied the first run with us and, after climbing back to the ridge, left us to go back home. The snow was warming up quickly and was heavier on each run, but I hardly noticed since I was on the split board, which eats that stuff up for breakfast. The last run out the south facing Emma ridge was equally fun, if a bit slushy.

I'd stashed two sixers in the snow before we left the parking lot. When we returned they were icy cold and life seamed pretty charmed when we popped them open in the warm sun.
